Hi, I’m Amanda Foti, photographer and co-owner of Foti Focus Photography, a family-owned photography business serving Central North Carolina.
Like many women, I wear a lot of different hats. I’m a mother, a daughter, a wife, an educator, a student, a photographer, and a business owner. Each of those roles has helped shape who I am and, in its own way, how I see the people and moments in front of my camera.
Photography That Feels Like You
For me, photography is about more than creating a beautiful image. It’s about capturing genuine moments, personalities, relationships, and milestones—the things that tell the story of who you and the people you love really are.
I know being in front of a camera doesn’t come naturally to everyone. You don’t need to know how to pose or worry about making every moment perfect. My goal is to create a comfortable, relaxed experience where you can simply be yourself while I capture both the moments we plan and the ones that happen naturally along the way.
Some of my favorite photographs are the ones that allow us to see ourselves the way the people who love us see us.
What I Photograph
My photography focuses on families, individual portraits, couples, pets, events, and lifestyle sessions. Whether we’re documenting a family as it grows, celebrating a milestone, capturing the bond between you and your pets, or preserving an ordinary season of life that you never want to forget, I want your photographs to feel personal to you.
As part of Foti Focus Photography, I also work alongside my husband, John, who heads our sports photography. Together, we’re able to capture everything from quiet family moments and celebrations to the energy and emotion of competition.
More Than a Photographer
Photography is one part of my life, but it’s influenced by all the others.
Being a mother and wife has given me an appreciation for how quickly seasons of life change. Being a daughter reminds me of the importance of preserving the people and relationships that helped shape us. Being an educator and student keeps me learning, growing, and connecting with people from different walks of life.
All of those experiences come with me when I pick up my camera.
I don’t just want to give you photographs that look good today. I want to create images that become more meaningful with time—the photographs you look back on years from now and remember exactly what that chapter of your life felt like.
